Smaller rear sprocket

Post by Image »

Does a smaller rear sprocket last as long as a standard sprocket?
How many teeth on a standard and how many on a smaller? Also front sprocket.

use http://www.gearingcommander.com to work out your gearing.

avoid divisable combinations, ie 15/45 or your chain wont last as long :)

Divisible combinations? I gotta know, how does the divisibility enter into it? Is the logic that the same part of the chain lands on the same teeth? Is it the plumage? Gripping by the husks?

If you go to the last chart on the gearing commander page it shows the "Same tooth-chain position every X chain rev's"
Whit stock gearing it is every 8 chain rev's
