In memory of Benny. Sticker Poll

Post by MacV2 »

As promised a poll to decide the final design for the Benny memorial sticker.

Please remember that the idea of this is to raise money for Benny's family.

I will cover the costs of the stickers as my way adding more to that fund.

When the stickers are available I will place a post in the relevant section & we will go from there.

Poll will run for 5 days only. Hopefully to get these available by the end of next week...no pressure there then.

Thanks for your interest as already shown on the other thread.

Mac

Please wait until the stickers are available before placing orders, it's getting a bit confusing for me...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY DONATIONS YET REGARDING THE STICKERS.

They have not been produced yet & I need to finalize how this is going to be done.

When we are ready I will post a new thread on how to order them, where to donate ect.

I do appreciate your keenness & willingness to donate, but I need to organise things & get it sorted.

Just think of all those envelopes I have to lick...

Mac

Just a thought but could you not make a sticker which incorporates the helmet and glove logo with Benny and the dates configured seperately on the same sheet, thereby giving people the option of how they wish to display the sticker.

There is no mention of this forum on the sticker

Seems to me that we should have a link between Benny and the forum otherwise what does the sticker mean

I think people reading the sticker will understand what its about better

If the main objective is to raise money for the family, please sell stickers for at least £10 each. If price is less i will still give minimum £10 per sticker for mine.

You could put it next the the forum sticker

Didn't the design come from another forum? Might be a bit cheeky tbh.

I think the sticker could be for sale for bennys friends from various forums etc
all of which have their own forum stickers
IMO its about remembering benny and not the forum

I agree with that, there's a lot of scope for raising a lot more for the family with a basic design being offered for sale on the other forums he frequented i.e nwb/sp/blade and even facebook where over 300 posted on news of his passing.

+1 keep it simple and about Benny, when people ask you can tell them your link to him and whats it all about.

Just add a point to this if I may.

We have all been very generous so far...

I made a donation based on the forum as a whole clubbing together for a wreath.

The news was posted elsewhere that things are tight for the family. I know how much funerals cost, it is not cheap believe me.

I was going to make a second contribution to the fund once this news broke.

Then I thought about getting these stickers as a way of boosting that fund.

Pat has very graciously agreed to make them at cost only & I am more than happy to cover those costs as I know that the sale of them will generate more for the fund than I would have given by just making another donation.

When they are available I will make a new thread with the details, there will be postage costs involved but that can be sorted out at a later date when all is done & dusted.

As for the donation price well that's up to each of you individually. Money is tight for us all at the moment & most if not all have already made a donation. With that in mind I was thinking of a low minimum donation of £5 per sticker. If you want 10 you can get 10. If you only want 1 that's fine it's still a minimum of £5 toward the fund.
If however you want to donate more per sticker that's entirely up to you.

Details still have to be worked out re the payment but I will contact Jazz about that.

Please wait until the stickers are available before placing any more orders.

If anyone out there has access to a stationary cupboard I could do with some envelopes...
I do have some but as I'm thinking of 200 stickers to start with I may run out...PM me if you can help with that please.
Even better if anyone has access to a franking machine...
