Primer Question

Well guys I have started stripping down the Storm ready for the MCCT change. And one of my many jobs to do along side it is start priming the fairing ready for a new lick of paint - Front fairings will be cut down before priming for my handle bar rise job.

I have primed a few pieces in white but have run out. Can I carry on in grey as I have a few cans of that lying around? Or will the difference between white and grey be apparent through my final colour? I was under the impression that the shade of the basecoat will be slightly darker if grey was used compared to white but my neighbour thinks I am wrong

You are right. Best have it all 1 shade. If your chosen basecoat is dark wouldn't be so much of an issue.

I thought so! Thanks for the confirmation Redthunder my basecoat is a shade or two lighter that the current colour of my bike but I will get some more white anyway.

If your topcoat is a light colour then use White if the topcoat is a dark colour then use Grey,
