Bitter sweet day today. Sweet because I've saved a lot of cash for Dyno runs or other goodies but bitter because I let a brand new set of Moriwaki carbs slip through my fingers.

Yep, BRAND FECKING NEW.

That's them. Spare set from an Antony West bike/team.

StormyRob put me on to them and did a great job of helping me sort out a proxy buyer/bidder. They're a steel at the price they went for but I couldn't risk getting carried away and spending a small fortune. I had a max bid and stuck with it.

I went through the same thing with a set of FCR carbs and a Yamamoto 2-1 Ti exhaust.. Kind of an odd site to place bids on. Keep checking the site, however, there are often neat bits coming up for sale... The Japanese had access to some really nice Storm stuff....

FWIW, if you want to upgrade your stock carbs, you could try streamlining your butterflies and putting low-profile screws in (which I did). I also broke ground with Factory Pro for getting some of their HDJ needles jets put in (have been running them in my carbs for the past 2 seasons and they work well)... Another cheap upgrade is to match up all the intake components (carb throat, manifold and port). all incremental gains

Roger has been at the heads but I'll look at the carb rubbers. Thanks, I'd not thought about differences and obstructions there. The plate has been cut away but it won't be a smooth transition from carb throat to port.

Well. The wife has been having hot flushes for years, and it offends me that all that free energy is going to waste.

This afternoon I drew up plans for a thermal energy rucksack she can wear which will use a heat converter to channel the heat into a small water reservoir, which I have called the "back boiler".

I think, given the number of women of a certain age who have this condition, that there's a market for this device.
So I've thought of the branding, and come up with the name "Te Doh" because it's better than So Lar power as it works when it's dark, too.

Early investors will get a discount on the production version, who's in?
