Why don't posh newspapers have joined-up writing?

And why can't you get joined-up numbers?
That'd save paper, as it would take less space to write, and then you could print more posh papers with joined-up writing,; that would raise the educational standards of the poor.

Well, it would if you printed "Please don't be so stupid, and read the bloody news" in the football pages. (in joined-up writing so only the intelligent could get the joke, of course).

Personally, I prefer nylon thread for outdoor clothes and cotton for shirts.
And a contrasting colour for button thread is a disaster- it's not big, or clever, or "different".
You're just trying to attract attention.

How's that for a thread hijack?
