Exhaust Hangers & Straps?

Post by Boubepo »

I have pushed the boat out and sold my kidneys and sold the wife and kids and bought an SP1

It's being transported down here [Southern Spain] as I speak. It has a few spare parts too, including link pipes to raise the exhausts but as far as I know there are no hangers or adaptors or straps to make the modification.

I'm guessing I will need to remove the rear foot pegs but where can I get hold of the hanger adaptors?

I realise this is an SP1 question and not a Storm question but I'm guessing both bikes are the same in this dept.?

When you get it, check to see what you need then hit e-bay.

I hope the kidney has gone to a good home.

You are probably right Mac, I'm probably jumping the gun with my impatience - It's taking 10 days to get here, so I was hoping to have the parts I need ready waiting for it

Do you mean they are going to be moved from the upswept standard look to a high level. High levels really don't suit them.

They are different bikes and the measurements will be specific to the SP and the particular pipes you have. Best wait till have em in your hand so you can see better what's needed to achieve your objective.

Yes, it would move the pipes to high level and parallel to and just below the seat/rear fairing.

You are probably right, I should just wait out the ten days, then when it arrives try the link pipes first, see if I like the position and then take it from there.

Patience is a virtue - right, it's just a pity I don't have any! lol

I got the SP1 on ebay

I can add photos when it arrives if you are interested? [If you were following ebay - it was the white one in SP2 colours]

I still have my Storm, in fact I'm riding to Portugal on it tomorrow

My Storm is still my special bike! I don't think much will change that
