Powder Coat colours are doing my head in...
I'm undecided on what to do for the best with wheels I have coming next week. I would love Chrome finish but by christ the price
Thought about a mirror polish but then there is the upkeep which I'd imagine to be a nightmare and very time consuming..
So I rang a local ish company in Swansea who specialise in powder coating and they quoted me £50 per wheel £60 with vat..I can live with that price.I'd probably be lucky to get any cheaper. My biggest question that has me bloody so annoyed and proper mrs grumpy is WHAT COLOUR to work best with my bike colours If my bike was yellow like before, I had yellow wheels painted and for those who remember it, it was nice, a lovely bike and I had a red piped gel seat so red and yellow worked well but yellow wheels on a red bike BIG NO NO.. So it leaves me very little choice..
Can't have Red wheels cos that's just a no no for me, white will show all the muck and just don't fancy white wheels, but Silver I don't think will work..hummm black? god, I'm taking the wheels to him and will get a look at his swatches but I'm in a real dilemma.. What you got? considering? colour wise?? arghhhhhhhhhhhh

Bronze, similar to the late model engine cases, would look good with the red. I have this on my bike. If someone with crayons wants to mock it up for you heres a snap -

having seen kevs wheels, I can say they're very nice indeed. you could also look at gold, copper, a darker gunmetal grey, I think silver looks naff, chrome and white are a nightmare to keep clean, imho white would suit your bike, but I couldn't be doing all that cleaning, but seen as you'll be doing that with the swingarm, it'll just mean a little extra buffing.....
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!

I personally think White would look good as you already have bits of White on the paintwork. I don't think cleaning would be too bad with the right products and a good wheel wax/sealer. It could be as simple as spray on cleaner and hose off.

Those photos above look silver? I don't see any Bronze and the photo doesn't load..and I'm not too sure about that colour... I'm not too keen on white as I said even though, yeah, thry might look good...Gun metal Grey I'm not too sure of as they would be perfect for hubby's bike as he has the silver panels... hum bloody hum and har'n ......arghhhhhhhhhh.... And for what it is worth, my white wheels are really not that hard to take care of

High Gloss Black always looks good with red and very easy to keep looking good.
