...to work out how to operate a TV remote control ?
If so get one of the grandkids to show you how in time for Monday at 21.00hrs BBC4.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03fv7sl
Full Throttle: The Glory Days of British Motorbikes
Of course I can work this out for myself & have even programmed the sky+ box, I'm just thinking of some of our more elderly members. Of course if you can recorded it all the better then you won't have to miss the Archers, so all will be good.
Here it is again in LARGE print so you can read it easier with the deteriorating eye sight I believe you can get subtitles up as well if the hearings going. Again ask the grandkids how.

Although I will watch in hope I already know it will be cr@p.
The programme will be made by Journalists. Cue pictures of Teddy boys , Jet style crash helmets and leather jackets with "59 club" badges, and ton ups down the North Circular to the Ace café ( The Busy Bee at Watford was much better)
Journalists are not interested in any subject but only the sensationalism that can be wrung from it.
( see all media relating to motorcycles)
Trust me this is the best of times. Old British bikes with the oil leaks, poor Lucas ignition, 6 volt lights, useless brakes etc. In one year in the sixties Honda spent more money on R&D than BSA did in in the previous 10 years.
A new 650 Bonneville was £361 and I earned £12 a week huh! "The good old days" Good bloody riddance I say.
I wanted the Honda Benley or the 250 Dream. I also wanted to be taller thinner and have more money and that didn't happen either.
And as for you young MacV2 ........ the Archers are on the wireless at 7pm or as us oldies call it 1900 hours
and another thing ... I know how to operate a remote controller ......
.......I just can't remember where I put it ......
but thanks for heads up anyway.

Unfortunatley I think you may be right Moocher. Bike coverage on TV is generally not good.

The last really good bike programme I really enjoyed was Ewan Mgregger and what's his name......Charlie Borman on the IIRC it was called the long road or something. Great series!!

your right carlos/moocher. the last good motoring programme I recall were those guys going to Daytona trying to set speed records in some pretty obscure classes.

I liked the old boy who used to own a hotrod shop in Norfolk but got pissed off/nervous breakdown and jacked it in to become a beach cleaner for California beach, Norfolk, and just builds bikes to go very fast on over in Bonnevile. Top show that one.
