Lights out on my speedo dial

Post by T8ull »

Not a big deal, as I don't ride much at night, and will get it sorted when mot comes round, but.....is it a simple bulb, or is it more sinister?, just noticed today, come back from homebase ( 50 mile round trip, for an 8 mile journey!!) half four ish and speedo not lit up, right hand rev side is though.
Appreciate any info,

T.

Yep a simple fix, has a couple of bulbs under speedo/rev counter, may be worth checking clocks plug is fitted in the loom properly too

On the earlier version Storm (non digital speedo) you can get at some of the bulbs without the need to remove the speedo pod, others you will need to unbolt it, I'm not sure about the later model. They are only held in place by their own individual rubber bulb holders which just pull out. David Silver has them in stock, and iirc Halfords sells them, but not in the same low wattage, although a slightly higer wattage will mean a brighter light. Original are 1.7 watt. I replaced some of mine with LED's as they are brighter, I have a feeling they are T10, but don't blame me if they're not.
