Take a look at the pictures first, see what you think.

So, here is the deal. I got the high mount Two Brothers pipes when I was dating a woman with her own bike, a ZX9R. When she and I wanted to ride on one bike, we took hers, so I didn’t need rear pegs. We broke up, so all of a sudden I needed rear pegs!

The long bolts were easy. Allen head grade 8 bolts that were about 3.5 inches long, a couple of washers… no problem.

I was walking around the hardware store… looking for metal tube to make the spacer. No way in hell. A 3 cm outer measurement and a 1.5 cm inner? No way. I kept walking around… what metal would be strong enough to hold a person, and I could cut with a hack saw or something simple? No way, not going to happen. And then I walked by the sockets…

That is when I saw something like this:

I knew a socket could handle the weight. I didn’t have to cut anything, they are the right length. The ends are cut perfectly square, no worries there. My biggest worry was what my friends would say!

Presto! I had my rear peg extensions! :) The only thing I did that was tricky was I used a plastic spacer in the open socket end to keep the socket from moving around while I tightened the bolts.

As luck would have it, my ex-gf and I see each other a bit, and she has no issues on the pegs. She is an Amazon, at 5-10 barefoot and about 165 lbs.

I bit cheesy I know... but they work great!
You know the Austin Powers movies? I have always wanted to date someone like Allota Fagina... but I always seem to date her sister Sandy.

Oh... I forgot to add this:

The left side exhaust is spaced out a bit because of the width of the swing arm on the chain side. I bent the exhaust bracket a little to move the left pipe closer to the bike, and everything clears just right.

When I put the sockets on, I was sure to put the "14mm" facing down. Nobody notices they are sockets, unless I tell them. With the high polish on the sockets, they really look pretty good too!

My car is a 1968 Mercury Cougar! Not a metric bolt on the whole car. :D

Wow... I figured I would get a sample of English wit with my cheesy foot peg extensions! You guys are soft! :D
