Looking to buy a decent scooter

Post by leevtr »

On the look out for a decent little 125 scoot to get me into central London on a daily basis. Has to be a good un, going to be on it almost daily for a couple of years. Loads on the bay but thought I'd put the word on here. Must be a Honda, looking at a Dylan or similar.

under rated and cheap is the Honda Lead 100, bit smaller but more manoeuvrable. the new S Wing Honda is basically (like most new peds) Chinese, plastics are plastic not vinyl, chrome is thin, electrics poor but price is Honda.... same as Peugeot and Piaggio now being made there. the s-wing will cost around a grand a side/middle if it gets involved in an accident. we repaired one a few months ago and panels had to be back ordered. second time she had it happen, once her fault this time a cars fault. really down to your budget.

I had a Dylan before, and know others who had them and totally abused them with no troubles. Not interested in chrome tbh, just want 90mpg and no grief. Looking at Yamaha Cygnus also, they look ok, and a few around with silly low miles under a grand. Gonna be nothing more than cheap transport.

Did you get the cans ??

I've always tried not to use the words decent and scooter in the same sentence! My mum bought me up not to tell lies!!! 8O

You're about right there, but perhaps he means bigger bikes are indecent, which I can understand.
Indecently loud, anyway....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
