I followed this when it was first put on the site. It gave me the inspiration for my home made rearsets.

the vtr cafe racer looks poo i think tho the yam 400 looks great .
i dont think you can change the vtr's appearance to much as it looks wrong .
only 2 streetfighters ive seen look finished and the vtr just dont look right as cafe racer mainly due to the frame .
in my eyes a cafe racer needs a steel tubular frame not a modern ali frame and wire wheels and only one clock a analogue speedo and not digital stuff.
the engine needs to be a parallel twin or a v twin like flatlines duke and air cooled .
i do like usd forks and radial brakes tho and and a twin rear shocks these should be the only modern parts fitted .as for the exhaust that needs to be low .

i know we all like different things and so we should so what ever you build and why keep it up and enjoy it .

I do like a good cafe racer, but I'm with Lloydie on; Steel frame, wire wheels, single clock, low zorst. Also the modern goodies like brakes and suspension.

I think a lot of custom builds would look a lot better if they weren't trying to fit into a category, it's good to see a thriving custom scene though and those guys are super outside the box on a lot of it

Just like my ducafe project Jamie, though I don't have wire wheels….....yet

Still on the lookout for some supermoto wheels, just a bit expensive at the moment though

I really love cafe's and wouldn't love one. The problem I was come against with the storm as a Donnie is trying to make it more airy. I think there are two keys things, good balance between front and back and being able to see through the bike.

The only was I cud see a storm being done would be to make a new frame and swingarm.
