Guaging interest with a serious intention of doing this.
Myself and a pal are going to drive to Mugello for the motogp. Rossi has indicated it may be his last, depending on how competitive he is this year. Going to do a full week, getting there 4 days before, take the bikes and have a few days riding in Tuscany before getting on the beer come race weekend. I was going to post here that I'll take a trailer for an extra 2 bikes, but I've been doing a bit of homework, and am considering doing something else, numbers interested permitting.
I can hire a 7.5 tonne lorry and comfortably get 8 bikes in, maybe 10, plus all riding gear, camping gear, etc. We can drive down, anyone interested in coming can get a flight and meet us and your bike there. Have some good riding, weekend at the racing, you fly home and we'll bring the bikes back. Obviously theres a cost involved, but not sure on that till numbers interested is known. I worked out that to ride there would cost about £350 return, without accounting for tyre wear etc. 2000 miles round trip.
