Shock reservoir mounting options?

Post by Jamoi »

Howdy, i'm just trying to think of a few solutions for mounting the rear shock remote reservoir, the hose is quite long so there's a good range of places.

I don't have any brackets etc, just wondered if anyone knows of some generic brackets being sold?

Some nice cnc jobbies would be good!

Or if you could post a pic of your mounting methods? (Mounting method of remote reservoir... i don't want detailed sex position tips!)

Ahh yes, thank you Kev. I'll see what they've got.

I've mounted mine under my right knee, about where the reservoir is for coolant.
That way I can adjust it while riding, instead of getting off and fiddling around.

Fiddling around, shock, help yourselves......
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

The Ohlins reservoir is supposed to be mounted above the frame rail not under, but if it fits and works it's ok.

I mounted my Penske one further back near the pillion hanger, fitted it with one rubber and 2 cable ties, If Mac looks at the undertray on the left side he'll see the small holes I made in the undertray, they don't notice after removal and the reservoir sat neatly out of the way. You can see it in this pic.

When I click on the link it shows just the one picture, so if someone else clicks it goes to my whole photobucket library ?. Well enjoy there's some nice bikes on there, The BMW was a fantastic bike with so many expensive extra's and goodies, and as you can tell I do like a Katana  (although you've prompted me to delete a few that I only had on my library to post for other people)
