Rear Shocks.

Post by bigtwinthing »

Hi

I have the later 2001 model storm with the bigger tank, digital dash etc, will the earlier model shock fit my bike does anybody know please?

I've been offered a WP shock and want to know if it will fit.

Any help most grateful Guys.

Regards Paul.

I too can't see any reason why it wouldn't fit. Pretty sure none of the frame, swing arm was changed between the two models.

Yes they are all the same?

Which WP shock is it? I had a basic emulsion type one a few yrs ago with only one damping adjuster and no reservoir, and I wasn't to impressed with. If it is one of the double adjust ones with reservoir I think they are much better.

I hope I'm not putting a bok on anyone here by saying this, but my mates WP shock was just serviced, and when they took it apart it was fooked, cost him 200 in bits and pieces to rebuild. It was a 10,000 miler of an 08 plate KTM. Not what I'd call a good advert for WP.

When I had mine serviced (without the remote adjuster) it was fine. Cost me a couple of extra quid on top of the service for something, can't remember what it was, and that had come from a track going storm.
