Cheep way Aroldite :D

More expensive way Plasic weld and a respray

Very Expensive way. Replace it with new :lol: :lol:

Sorry, should have made myself clearer.

Apparently, according to the chap I bought it off, the bike fell over onto its right hand side. This has left a crack in the right hand side panel, approx 2" long, a piece of the panel has been pushed in a bit. Just want to push it back out and bond it from behind, not bothered about finish as no one will see it.

Araldite sounds the trick then.

You can use glassfibre mat and resin for this sort of repair - buy a kit from Halfords.

Plastic welding will produce a tidier finish, there's quite a good guide here

Get a small plasic repair kit from your local dealer or one of the mail order companies! It's basically dental acrylic and the kits work very well :!:

I repaired the fairing of my old ZX6-R by lining up the crack(s) and using a soldering iron on the inside to seal.

Worked a treat and was barely visible.

Yeah.. I have done that too. It takes a little time and stinks up the apartment but it works great! I used a scrap piece of plastic from another fairing and worked it into the crack area. That process works awesome.

Also, for small hairline cracks you can use this:

It is like water and flows into the crack from the brush. This isn't like a glue or a patch. The chemicals in it MELT the plastic parts back together. Great stuff.
