Complete loom WANTED

Post by mattycoops43 »

Hi guys an gals

After my reg rec blew up yesterday, the plug and wiring into it is destroyed. The bike already has indicator wiring issues so I want to change the whole loom.

Anyone got a complete loom in good nick they are selling?

Can someone tell me, is the reg/rec plug part of the main loom or is it a removeable extension? I don't want to get a loom off ebay or somewhere and find out it doesn't have that plug on it.

Thanks

Matt

Part of the main loom.

You could put a new connector block on.

Hi matt. If had a look at the loom I have and it isn't quite complete. There is a bullet connector on one of the front indicators and there is a rear indicator plug missing. If you do want it let me know. If not then no worries

Not too worried about that if the price is right! Mine has issues in the middle of the loom. I am good at soldering so can splice in light connections from my loom if needed.

Search for MOSFET - these are fitted to Yamahas and Kwaks and marked FH rather than SH and need some fettling to fit but they are the best.

An upgraded Honda finned is better than the unfinned early R/R but if you are prepared to pay £50 then get a MOSFET for a few quid more.

Is it just a case of sourcing the right plug and wiring it correctly?

Matty it depends which route you take as to which plug/s you use.
