Hein Gericke Ilford

Post by leevtr »

Is back open, for anyone living in the London / East area. It did appear to have closed down but went past yesterday and it appeared business as usual.

J&S accessories has bought 12 of the 16 Hein Gericke stores affected by the recent return to administration of the German-owned firm and they will all be relaunched as J&S stores later in January.

The 12 stores include Aberdeen, Braintree, Farnborough, Gants Hill, Glasgow, Hanger Lane, Leeds, Leicester, Maidstone, Oxford, Preston and Stockwell.

Maybe they'll get the same kit but with a J&S badge instead. I have a very nice HG jacket that seems to have, er, shrunk...

J&S sell a lot of cheap gear. Probably HG's most direct competitor in recent years.

yip J&S have taken on 12 of them. My bro in law runs the one in Hamilton, good for the staff discount
turns out that they also own Frank Thomas too.
a bit like all these places, some of their stuff is on the cheap side but other stuff lasts for years.
probably the biggest selection of stuff in Scotland under one roof, if anyone goes in ask for Chris, you won't miss the lanky streak of pish.
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time

I wish our local one in Darlinton would re-open. They were always good for a cheep bit of kit, they often had good deals on quality stuff too.

The last time i went into the southampton branch they were stripping some blown up moped to bits!!! always had a good deal there though.

Ive had 2 sets of leathers there over the years and its always lasted.
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!
