Renntec Rack & postage

Post by lh3110 »

So I won a 2nd hand renntec rack on e bay for £49 + £8 postage.
Paid the £57, and now he is saying its £22 to post to N.Ireland even though the ebay calculator say £8 for my post code.

Not at all happy, he is saying call it £12 more - so £20 postage means £69?? madness surely as they are £90 new.

Tell him to get stuffed and give me a refund?

Thanks

Tell him you want a refund and if he don't want to do that open a case with ebay and do not close the case until you have a refund

Yep, as far as I know NI is normal UK rates, only ireland gets stiffed on post cos it's 'international'.

He said it was £20 + VAT with one co. and £22.40 with royal mail?

Ive said I dont want to pay anymore and if he cant sell at the price paid to give me a refund..
Kind of annoying as I was looking forward to it :problem: (that sounds sad - looking forward to a luggage rack haha )

Get your money back and find one with the fitting kit as they are useless without them .

the one i got on the fireblade had 2 x U clamps that slid under the sub frame.. does this fit differently?

I got lucky and found one on eBay for 26 squid, came with brackets too.

Might be worth a refund and have another bargain hunt.

Does this mean they leave the brackets on their own bikes?

seems very complicated. Still waiting for a response from him. If he is going to send them at agreed price I may check to find out.

Thanks Lloydie!
