Re: How do I get my break foot pedal higher
You need to undo the bottom bolt which connects the rose joint to the pedal, then loosen the top locking nut, unwind the rose joint until your pedal is at the right angle.

Re: How do I get my break foot pedal higher
The adjustment is where I have put the red arrow (the bottom nut being the locking nut), but looking at your photo you have limited space to do this, as the botom of the rose joint looks very close to the link pipe.

Re: How do I get my break foot pedal higher
so do i use a spanner on the bottom nut and a spanner on the top sorry for the daft question

Great minds think alike hey Jamoi
I don't think you need to loosen the bottom bolt that Jamoi has arrrowed, as that joint is a rose joint, meaning it will swivel on it's own,
Chris.

Yes, hold the top as you undo the locking nut, chric wrote:so do i use a spanner on the bottom nut and a spanner on the top sorry for the daft question
Don't forget to tighten up the locking nut once you have adjusted it,
Chris.
**EDIT**
I should have said, once you have slackened off the lock nut keep the spanner still on it, then adjust the pedal height by the top adjuster with the second spanner.
Re: How do I get my break foot pedal higher
couldn't you move the foot peg to the fixing just above and to the right, yes the footpeg will be higher but based on where it is the foot peg will be higher.sirch345 wrote:The adjustment is where I have put the red arrow (the bottom nut being the locking nut), but looking at your photo you have limited space to do this, as the botom of the rose joint looks very close to the link pipe.

Re: How do I get my break foot pedal higher
Yes you do because the rose joint is female and fits on to the threaded bar. So loosen the locknut, undo the rose/pedal connection, turn the rose clockwise or anti to raise or lower.I don't think you need to loosen the bottom bolt that Jamoi has arrrowed, as that joint is a rose joint, meaning it will swivel on it's own,
You should be able to do it without undoing the rose joint if you unlocked both locknuts, the one above the rose joint and the one above it by the cylinder boot. This then should allow you to spin the threaded bar inside the rose. The problem with that is that there is very little room left on the bar to get a hold of. so I would just undo the rose and spin that instead as its easy.
As has been said the clearance for the exhaust may be an issue. I had the same problem with mine and done exactly as Bazza said. I moved the peg position forward and up one.

Re: How do I get my break foot pedal higher
The rose joint do you have to put bolt through same size as hole?

Nah it will turn by hand, or should do if it's not sized !chric wrote:The rose joint do you have to put bolt through same size as hole?

are you sure about that Carl, because that's a new one on me.cybercarl wrote:Yes you do because the rose joint is female and fits on to the threaded bar. Why do you need to remove the rose-joint fixing bolt to adjust the brake pedal height:?:
Adjustment is normally done as below by undoing the lock nut and then turning the push rod:-

As much as I hate it when my brake pedal breaks my foot I'll chime in......sirch345 wrote:

On US bikes the upper nut is attached to the shaft, so to adjust the pedal you loosen the lower nut and then turn the upper nut until the desired position is obtained.
