Tank grips

Any one use tankgrips (stomp-grip type) and would you recommend them? The seat on my bike seems very slippery but I don't really like the idea of sticking knobbly rubber on my newly sprayed tank. The transparent ones like these is what I'm pondering:

Alternatively is there a product I can use on the seat (other than sandpaper!) to make my butt stick to the seat better?

Several different people have tried stomp grips and got on with them. I had them on my last bike and I just having got round to fitting any on the storm. I would recommend it though. A highly polished tank is no good for gripping onto with your knees

Actually, the better idea would be to stick it my textile trousers on the ass/inner thighs contact patches

I use the clear universal tank kit from StompGrips and I realy rate it. Had them on for a couple of years and I wish I had found them earlier, they realy help you control the bike and allow you to relax your grip of the bars when braking

Stomp grips all the way . I had a play on smcqs and they make a great difference and I will be fitting them to my tanks

Stomp grips it is then, but the "proper" ones as some of the cheaper ones have a nasty yellow tint whereas stomps seem properly transparent.

They help stop me sliding into my tank even if braking with one cheek on the seat ready for a corner

Just cut them down a bit:

Problem is with stompgrips if you come to sell the bike it puts buyers off bikes because you immediately assume this bike has been ridden hard!

try a grippy seat cover first, made a massive difference on the moto-x bikes
