Storm race history!!!!

Post by Watty »

Being relatively new to the Storm scene got to wondering about its race history etc. and Moriwaki's involvement! I've picked up snippets of stuff here and there but wondered if any of you more long term storm guys could educate me more :? Cheers, Watty

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

The impressionist and post-impressionist painters were known to dabble in cannabis which gave their paintings a tendency towards brighter and colour heightened palettes. Reproductions of their paintings feature on many middle-class walls as prints, placemats and greeting cards and inspired the shadows/highlight adjustment filter in photoshop developed by Adobe in California.

Just carrying on a tradition ;-)

PS I use Photomatix > Tone Mapping filter :-)

Fair enough. Some of those artists dabbled on a bit more than that. Try Opium :plainsmile Queen Victoria was rather partial to the odd bit of cannabis once a month. :biggrin I dabbled in photomatix at one point. It's excellent for creating HDR from bracketed images.

No I'm not hijackig  Apparently Moriwaki VTR won in the Australian Superbike championship between 1999 and 2002.

I like the fact our bikes have a little history in the racing world. That makes them a little bit special IMO. What I found very interesting is the reasoning or philosophy behind the Moriwaki colours.

+1 on all that statement Carl. I wasn't aware they had any racing background until I bought one and joined the forum etc. Nice to know and now I can share a little knowledge with others who don't know :D I can honestly say I've never been so impressed with a bike and the OCMD has certainly took hold

There were a couple of Storms racing in this series... http://www.thunderbike.org.uk/race_dates.php

Dave Wass running as Team 1771,who is a member on here. It would seem that his website is no longer up & running. Didn't catch any races last year so really don't know if he's still in the series or running a Storm.
