Modification Friendly Insurance
Anyone know any insurance companies or brokers who are modification friendly?
I know most insurers run a mile when the hear those dreaded words "race can"; but I'm having real grief getting my bike policy renewed (i've been off the road for a number of years).
It's got a K&N filter, Dynojet stage 1, motrax crash bungs, and Scorpion Race Cans.
Cheers
Matt

Try Honda, As you may or may not know I wrote off (cat B) my beloved storm in august. The bike had custom paint, race cans, braided lines and vast amounts of croming and polishing but I did not disclose modifications. I was properly worried when the assesor reported all the mods bact to the insurance. They decided not to penalise me and are continuing with the claim offering me 3K for my bike.
So I gues they must be ok with mods and they were set up to undercut others and encourage poeple to buy hondas.....

I got knocked down, but i'll get up again and you'll never ever keep me down!

You're pretty much in the same boat as me except the pass date.
Matt
btw,i got another quote from insurance 2000 and it was 380 unalarmed!
obviously im gonna wait till my year is up with cia then get my ncb and switch to them.
another thing, cia allows you to ride ANY bike,as long as its not yours third party which is quite handy.
