Popkats race meet rideout...Sunday May 18th UPDATED!

Post by MacV2 »

Popkats FB page update...

''Just got back from Pembrey, tally for the weekend, 4 x production wins, 3 x Superbike wins and one 2nd place. great start to the season Lydden in Kent next month can't wait, although will be tough to match all those results especially in Superbike class.''

So Lydden is w/e 17/18 May.

Who's up for a Southern Softies* Chapter ride out on the Sun to go & support Popkat ?

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/51.46 ... 179477!3e0

P.S. Non SRSSC** members north of Watford Gap welcome to attend.

Right lets get the ball rolling on this one.

UPDATE

Due to Popkat letting us know that racing starts about 11am I'm making the meet time at the services an hour earlier...NOW 9 am NOT 10am

From the services to Lydden Hill is appox 38 mins at legal speeds which of course we will be adhering to...

For anyone who cant read a map & has to rely on a prat nav... Services PC is ME8 8PQ.

If you want to come but not meet up at the services Lydden Hill Race Circuit is CT4 6ET.

Extra info...At the services the fuel station is on the way out. So the meeting point will be as close to the entrance of the main shop area but to the right hand side as you approach. Fuel up on way out if needed.

Plan A. Meet at Medway Service station on the M2... http://motorwayservicesonline.co.uk/Medway From 9am aiming to leave at 10am at the latest. Giving enough time for any yellow bikes to get there, have a coffee (or 3 if still waiting for said yellows... ) Smoke break, comfort break, fuel up ect. Ride on down to Lydden. Cheer on Popkat. Ride off in to the sunset.

Plan B Stay in bed if it's raining or if Popkat fails to turn up.

Plan D There is no current Plan D but open to suggestions.

* Weather permitting, wives/partners permitting, cleaning & polishing scheduled permitting...delete as appropriate...

Come along, will be good to see some of you, At Lydden on a Sunday they don't allow racing before midday, well they never did and I can't see that it would change as it's to do with local residents. So doesn't have to be a real early start to ride down.
