Sad news indeed. I liked him in The Long Good Friday, especially the last scene where he's driven away in the black cab. Nothing said, but he conveyed his feelings fantastically.
RIP Bob, you'll be missed.

I meet him once.
A petrol station in Bromley.
I was just filling up & he having just paid came back to his car, Rover SDI IIRC, I said ''Alright Bob'' he replied ''Yes Mate''
