as we all know they fail,so I bought one with cooling fins on it.which failed In no time at all and fried my battery ,so I decided to strip the failed one and could see why it failed so early.
all the components are secured to the baseplate,so the only cooling it gets are through the baseplate and the frame,the cooling fins are just for show.they do not appear to cool it at all.
anyone recommend a good one ?

Get a mosfet. Zx14r R1 R6 etc.. go search on superhawkforum.com and there is a whole right up on Mosfet RRs and it says which ones work.
