Ear plugs

Post by lloydie »

I'm looking for recommendations for good ear plugs that are easy to fit and stay put and keep the white noise down .
What you got or what have you found to be the best ?

I'be been using moldex pura-fit with snr of 36db for years

They can be used a couple of times and then binned

Get them from health and safety suppliers or eBay it

Buy a few packets at a time or a whole box

I've tried many different types including the moulded ones, I find MAX by Howard Leight suits me the best,

I use foam earplugs to help me sleep, probably a bad habit, but I bought a pack of 50 or so pairs last year and I've still got loads left, i'll have a look for the link....

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

I can't remember what mine are but I'll show you when I'm next down at yours. Very good and you can still hear the full noise of the bike and you can talk at near enough normal level and still hear others

I bet they don't silence the voices in your head. Mine drive me mad so I have to have the TV on or I can't sleep.

I bought a variety pack of 50 different types and found the MAX red ones to be the only ones that realy worked for me.

You can have the rest of the variety pack If you want to try them and I will chuck in a new set if max if you want

I use these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Docs-Pro-Plug ... 5d44568912

Mainly for when Dj'ing or drumming, but also when I know I'm going to be driving down a motorway or on a sustained trip.
They cut about 20db so you can still talk with them in without shouting. As they are clear people don't tend to notice you have them in & they are washable too

I'd say the best place to get them is from Express Music on the Binley Road, Lloydie, or any musical instrument shop.

£10 from Express Music: http://www.expressmusicstore.co.uk/prod ... Protection
