Found a screw

Post by saint gaz »

Found this screw on the floor in the bike shed this morning, can't find anywhere obvious where it has come from. It's 20mm long and 4mm thread, it's the same as the one that locks the cap in the clutch fluid reservoir only shorter.

I've done a few jobs recently including stopper mod on the ccts, fitted braided brake hoses and new fluids all around.

Any ideas?

That looks very much like one of the screws that holds the airbox to the carbs.

Switchgear, as said already.
The black paint gives it away.
There are similar sized ones in several places, but only switchgear ones are painted.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
