Cadwell track evening, 2nd August
I'm booked in for my second Cadwell visit
Re: Cadwell track evening, 2nd August
Riding there, or you a van and tyre warmers sort?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I will be riding there, ...... kind of helps focus on keeping it shiny side up.......not that FrankenStorm is shiny, more matt with a flaking, blistering, gravel rash sort of finish
I may pop on the racetec tyres before i go though

Anyone else going?
Re: Cadwell track evening, 2nd August
I love what you have done with FrankenStorm, it's such a mish mash but it works really well. It's a bit of a Rastafarian.
It just needs a big fat one hanging out it's mouth.

Re: Cadwell track evening, 2nd August
Frankenstorm was not really designed it was created !!!!. It was the bits that were left over after several years of being a storm owner.......
..... just take 7 Firestorm projects or so , a few job lots of spares and voila....
Most of the bodywork had been in my skip before i heard of Plastex.....It started with an experiment (cue flash of lightening, rumble of thunder and a psychotic laugh) to see if this Plastex stuff was any good at sticking fairing bits back together.
Once the body work looked usable (in a loose sense of the term) attention turned to other big pile of bits......a scabby set of wheels, spare engine (£70 and turned out to be a runner), petrol tank with smell from hell petrol, frame, swinger, bars etc.
Now it is a classic shed / track rat.
I do have a prettier one as well

You could have put a warning on the link fella, something to the effect of "warning the enclosed folder contains images of total redness!" Nasty! I can see why you went for the United colours of Benetton look on the other bike to relieve the boredom of all that red.
I expect this comment to receive death threats from most countries (even Grain!!) where poor delusional owners try to emulate Ducati owners! XXXX

Re: Cadwell track evening, 2nd August
well .... rain or what?....... could have swam from Horncastle to Cadwell. There was a lake at the bottom of the mountain when we arrived. Couple of other Storms there

Track was very wet at the start and very easy to get it a bit wrong. Me spinning up on the mountain and getting it wrong at Hall.

Tyres - Old set of Dragon Evo. Gone a bit hard and square on the rear.
However, they seem to work well and i could mix it wth the faster folk in the novice group. And for some reason it felt really good passing the Red Ducati, who i was not trying to copy

Pity about the weather letting you down. Looks like you had a great time anyway.
