i have been lusting after a nava tailpiece for a while now, and gutted that he's not making them any more
i emailed him a couple of days ago, and good news!!!! a chap in wales bought the molds off mario not long ago and will be producing them again
here's his site, -
http://www.ferriday.co.uk/honda-vtr1000f/

mario also has a complete set of vtr bodywork off his own bike for sale, if anyone is interested the details are here -

Few weeks ago we sold all moulds and tools to Mr. Mike Tanski who lives in Wales, UK.
I am sure he will be happy to assist you. I met him personally, it's a good guy and has a very good skill.
Here is his email address: mike@ferriday.co.uk

If you're interested I have a proposal for you, Mr. Tanski, very kindly, gave me this opportunity.
Now, the deal is, if you're interested into. I am selling my race fairing.
I don't use my bike so much, I had a shoulder rebuilt (damn tennis!) so track days are gone for me.
Well, really I rode my bike just 3 times, on legal streets, in the last 3 years. Oh well... I am getting old!!

Anyway, links to the pictures of my race fairing.

http://web.tiscali.it/mario_nava/vtr1000_racing_e.html

Mine is the one with "low" exausts.
I am selling these parts.

HO-VTR97-CF-FI-R Honda VTR1000 1997-> Complete fairing, race version.
Upper and lower fiberglass made
Price EURO 445.00

HO-VTR97-RT-FI-R Honda VTR1000 1997-> Rear tail (single seat)
Race version (no place for rear light)
Fiberglass made with no seat and no removable panel
Price EURO 210.00

HO-VTR97-RT-LO Removable panel with key lock for rear-tail
Price. EURO 40.00

Offer is almost 50% discount. Total price NEW is 695 Euros. I am selling at 400.00 Euros, plus shipping.
Included in the price is the "double bubble" windshield. Leather seat is not included. It's mounted on my street tail (read below)

I am not a track guy. Just did few times, 5 or 6, with my friends Maurizio, the builder, to promote sellings during riders meetings on tracks.
Parts are absolutely in perfect condition, never crashed.
Just few scratches on the right lower part due to high leaning after I replaced rearsets (birthday gift) with higher ones.
Can take detailed pics if you wish.

Note. You will have to cut out the "nose" to install the main light (and the tail, if you need).
I can see if I can have it done by Maurizio, the builder of all the kits.

Let me know where do you live so I can tell you how much the shipping cost is.

Have a nice day.

That's handy to know. I'm pleased someone more local has taken the moulds and continuing to either produce or start to produce parts. Th cubbyhole tail appeal to me. One day when I win the lottery

update....
I've had a few emails from mick (mike tanski) he sounds like a right nice fella, very passionate about his work.
he said the first item he's producing will be the single seat units, finished in a coloured gel coat, no carbon fibre on the horizon as yet.
he wants to make sure the quality is 100% before selling them, he is a member of the forum, just not an active one....
so watch this space ladies and gents......

no prices yet wicky, mick is aware of the storms value compared to the sp, i.e why spend loads of money at a storm when you can buy an sp, so he said he will try and be competitively priced, atm he is changing the way the seat unit attachs to the rear subframe, as he believes it will be better than the way mario had it, maybe something to do with the two bolt holes at the rear top section of the seat unit. i'm not sure.
so we will have to wait a little longer for pricing......
