polished exhaust headers and link pipes

I'm after any tips for the above task of attempting to polish the exhausts etc .
Any tips for best materials .

Don't bother doing the headers they tarnish within half an hour and you may bust a stud getting them off :D

Rust removal gel and a rotary brass wire brush used with a power drill to remove the worst of the fine rust. Then progressive finer grades of wet&dry then don't ride it in winter.

or get titanium headers...

Hhummm.
Titanium headers would be very nice if only I knew where to go to get some :P
I must admit I'm only a fair weather rider lol
If it rains I use the car :lol:

its a poxy job, to do it properly you need to remove the headers, but you can get decent results leaving it on the bike, I used a dremmel and lots of attachments, once done properly you'll only need to give a quick going over every winter, it also helps to wipe the exhaust with wd40 or something similar if you happened to have gotten caught out in the rain.... :thumbup:
