£15 dyno runs on 27/09/2014 central london

Post by agentpineapple »

after speaking to carl today, we've decided to get our bikes on the dyno this coming Saturday, my local bike shp (pole position) do single power runs for £15, no need to book in, i'll have a word to see if we can get a group discount, maybe we can get him down to £10 a run.
there's a maccy'd's and petrol station with a wild bean café less than a minute away, there's also a machine mart next door, for those who have a tool fetish.
if anyone wants to pop down, your all welcome, you don't even have to have a dyno run.
I reckon 12 noon to 2ish pm will be good, it will run later if lots of people turn up.
I can provide a selection of tools if a problem arises.
here's the address

So who we got coming tomorrow then and what time do we want to meet up. I'm only getting a baseline setting so I know which direction to go with my jetting. I may possibly do a couple of runs, it depends on how the first goes. I shall only be bringing a few tools,

there's not been much interest on here.
there's a few guys coming from the facebook pages
me
carl
mike
zoltan lapu....north London I think.
graham cross.....Greenwich

I've told people between 1 and 3ish pm, as mike said he'll be coming a little later. if we meet at my place across the road, that way we can sort out any issues before heading over to the garage, it's a 30 sec walk to get there, thanks carl for bringing some tools, between the two of us we should be able to sort most things.
i'm only planning on one run, maybe two if we tinker with the carbs.
each run takes about 10mins to complete.
anyone and every one is welcome to join us, you don't have to have a dyno run, just come along and talk bollox, there'll be tea/coffee and biscuits.

Bloody hell your splashing out mate  I'l have some Lemsip before leaving. I still have this whatever it is. Congested, stuffynosed head cold thing. A ride on the bike may even clear things up a bit hopefully.

I shall call you in the morning before I leave.

for anyone who wants to have a dyno run tomorrow, please check your oil levels, chain tension and condition, also check your tyres, the guys at the dyno garage will make sure your tyres are at the correct psi before the bike goes on the dyno.

Nope, nothing done lately to test and I'm fitting a new garage door tomorrow, so that's me busy.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Do yourself a favour and don't use a steamer unless completely necessary and if it is, then pull any vinyl off first

Use one of the following, loads easier once you get into the swing of it.

You have to go carefully as you don't want it digging into and taking chunks out the wall (more filling) and keep your finger away from the blade. But if you get the hang of them they are quick and easy to use, but you have to get the angle right. It's a bit like sharpening a knife on stone. A lot less mess than using a steamer and you don't turn the room/house into sauna and absorb loads of water into your walls and weaken them more. Oh and mind them electrics with the steamer if using it.
