Growing heap of front scrap carbs - front

Post by StuartWags »

I now am the proud owner of 3 sets of carbs that have busted front bodies .........i have not looked close enough and i am starting to clutch at straws, but is the front body the same as the back if it is stripped back enough

At first glance I though that said growing hemp

Don't know about the answer to your question. Though I think they are the same front to rear apart from jetting and one carb has the idle adjuster and the other the balance adjuster. So maybe that's the difference.

When you say busted front carb bodies, what exactly is broken damaged on them?

If it's brass parts that are needed for X2 carbs, Hawk says these non replaceable parts are available form SUDCO.

Yes many say that they are not replaceable but the needle jet and all the other brass "non-replaceable" are available from SUDCO if you even need any of them

Rebuilt today, fitted, standard / default settings, TPS set at 500 ohms, tested (thrashed) for 50 miles.

Result - rock on at normal operating temperature but pops back through the carbs as it gets hotter. So i am thinking i may need to tweak the mixture screw a bit or back of the TPS to standard

Many thanks to the pineapple
