Potatoes are boring, I'm sick of potato and try to avoid it now. So I will have a fish pie please

Isn't pie and mash a London thing. Most folk on here probably don't know what pie and mash is. Liqueur anyone. Jellied eels anyone

I,d probably go fish and chips if the fish is fresh and not too much batter. lots of salt and vinegar

trouble with chip shop pies is your not really sure whats in them ??

Yes it's a London thing specifically the East End I believe, well that's where it originated from.

As you can see from Carls pic it looks very appetizing don't it.

Personally I think it's gag, I've had it a few times & the pies were always shite & sorry but the liquor...runny parsley sauce does nowt for me.

It would have to be F&C for me but even that is a bit hit & miss these days...most of the 'Cod' isn't cod as it's cheaper to use some cheap sh1t stuff they buy from bloody Vietnam...Apparently.

Oh yeah jellied eel's another cheap ghastly food beloved by the working class of the east end...along with whelks & cockells... Fishy bits of snotty gristle with grit in them...Seafood, mainly bottom feeders eating all the crap that sinks...including crap...

Enjoy your tea lads....

Pie chips and beans. what else?

Did my own Saturday. Steak and Kidney slow cooked for 3 1/2 hours for the filling, until the meat flakes. Then into the pie dishes for the lids. Potatoes from the garden cut into chunky chips. Bean... from a tin

Yummy. I may have to do a load for a ride out here next year
