I used to be a fan of the GoPro series, but recently got a Drift Ghost HD and for the purpose of motorcycling I find it a much better cam.

I like to mount it on my helmet, so I can capture everything I look at, the drift is quite sleek so you don't feel it much when the speeds pick up a bit. Whereas the GoPro felt like a sail.

If you're mounting it to a bike, then I'd say go for whatever your requirements are in terms of image quality.

30fps @ 1080p is the common standard, although 60fps @ 1080p is available but rendering times are pushed really high.

My last few vids were with the Drift.

My mate wanted a particular R1 and was ready to go buy it, so I got a test ride and posted this to wind him up :D

They are US (NTSC) frame rates (and few other countries like Japan for example) over here we use 25 and 50 fps (PAL) frame rates which work better with our screen refresh rates. You will get less jerky smoother transitions/viewing using the right frame rate. Oh....and a little less render time

I have had both and both are great.

as already said, drift is better on crash hat but you need to get it lined up right. Also if you swap bikes, it may not be lined up as will
< Pointing too low after setting it up for the GS

I think the Go Pro is better on bike though tbh
No example with new gopro (yet!)

Go Pro on the chest is pretty cool too but you'll need straight bars on the storm!!

Thanks Guys, next question, with the Drift or Go pro can you view the recorded shots back through the viewfinder on the remote, the camera itself or nothing?

Previously i have used an ordinary small camera with vid and then adapted it to fit on my helmet or bike or ski pole, but it wobbles like a bugger.
You help is most appreciated.Paul.
