Superbike racer and further training

Post by geodude »

I stop preaching this sh1t years ago as many of the bikers I meet feel it's a load of baldrocks.

I still think it's the best upgrade you can buy for your bike bar none and as I have been off the road for a while will be definitely doing a refresher.

- Never Too Good | Episode 1: Back To School
- Never too good | Episode 2 : Look, Lean and Roll
- Never too good | Episode 3 : Roadcraft
- Never Too Good | Episode 4

Thoughts on the videos and the messages? Does it still sound like the pipe and slippers brigade or have they done a better job with it?

Very little applicable content in the vids - seems like a jolly overview showing how much a racer to a novice can learn about machine control/road craft on track and road.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Fair point although I don't think that's what they are trying to do with them.

I find Alan Davies too annoying to watch more than 10 seconds of these. Guy's a moron

The IAM and RoSPA do have an image problem. I think these promotional videos make a reasonable attempt to address that.

At the end of the day, these organisations are just trying to make bikers a bit safer.

Mmmmmm, not sure if that was too jokey and by only scratching the surface it didn't fire me up to try it.

The good thing was that the instructors didn't come over as too stuffy, so might help the image of advanced motorcyclist... Although they all seem to be BMW focused it was Good to see one of them with a S1000RR
