welcome Brian.

the CCT issue sounds frightening, but many bikes go without any problems, unfortunately the ones that do have a failure result in engine damage :(

the good news is that you know its an issue and if you get a bike that has Manuals or a stopper mod, then you are sorted.........and if you get one without any fixes, you know that you should get it corrected in the first 6 months of ownership and the instructions on here are easy to follow and the process is fairly easy.

oh and there will always be someone who you can call to talk you through any questions.

good luck with your search and don't let the CCT question put you off

Hi and welcome to the Forum. My old VTR is on EBay at the moment. It's at a dealers in Darlington. Maybe top dollar now but fully sorted, serviced and recent tyres. Be nice if it went to someone on here. I traded it to a Honda main dealer who passed it on because of age.

Welcome aboard Brian

If you address the possible CCT problem as AMcQ says, then you won't have a problem.

welcome to the forum buddy, good luck finding the right bike for you, you can buy mcct's cheaply enough, I even have a new set for sale, if you get a storm that needs them replacing, give me a shout.
and simo's old bike has lots of nice parts.....
the dealer has priced it way to high, but that's what dealers do, no mention in the dealer blurb about the 6 spoke wheels and the gold harris rearsets, heated grips, gear position indicator, braided brake lines
a little research/knowledge from the dealer and he'd know he had a real nice bike on his hands.
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
