so do you know of a good rear shock upgrade that does not take to much playing around with to get the best out of it or one that comes pre-set .
Now front forks does anyone know if roger at revo does upside front fork upgrade (what cost if so) as i have not got the time to do it myself and rather pay for someone to do it right the first time around or if he does not do this uprade what is the best upgrade you can do to standard forks as i was going to get rid of the bike and have a tuono but have piled so much money into the bike so far a little more wont hurt and so feel these are the only two things that feel dated and let it down now .

Alternatively , you might consider getting a suspension specialist to sort the existing stuff for you , and do the rear at the same time
Favoured options are
1. Revolution ( North-West tel ; 07970-915 259 )
2. K-Tech ( Midlands 01530-810625 )
3. Maxton ( Cheshire 01928-740531 )
4. Hagon ( South 0208-502 6222 )
These are in no particular order , I'm happy with the work K-Tech did for me

Roger at revolution does ride in ride out (not usually weekends though coz they're busy)
After speaking to him last year on this very same subject his opinion was that the only reasons you'd go for different forks (blade, RSV etc) was either
POSE: look better
OR
STIFFNESS: under severe track use (BSB racing, with slicks) the forks can bend enough under hard braking to touch the front cylinder (gulp!!)
Otherwise £200 gets you the standard forks revalved and sprung to suit your exact weight and useage requirements and are the mutts nuts
Rear end: -to make writing the cheques out simpler
get a Penske off him, again set up for weight, riding style and intended usage

I used MC Technics to sort the suspension on my VTR. New springs and oil in the forks, and a WP rear shock. Ride in, ride out and set up for my weight and riding style. Completely changed the bike, it's a huge improvement and the best upgrade anyone can make to a Firestorm.

I am not sure if this information will help, but actually after some experience with Ohlins and WP on other bikes for Firestorm I got myself Wilbers shock - I liked that for 615 Euro you have spring according to your weight and that for this price shock have spearate low-speed and high-speed compression adjustment, 22 clicks rebound and stepless preload.
As I could not find any shop to do it for me here (I am in Belgium) after installing shock and Hypepro springs and oil into forks I twiggled shock settings myself and I think it is OK now actually.
Only reason for wanting low/high speed (meaning speed of shock rod compressing, not bike speed ) adjustment was to have best compromise between comfort and handling and I think it worked just fine, better than I had with Ohlins (much more track oriented - or comfort or handling, not both).
and - new shock even in pre-set state raised rear a bit so bike turns way quicker.
Wilbers authorised resellers are Hein Gericke BTW - but you must order it in shop and indicate your bike model, year and your weight.
