Repairs to carbon

Post by WayneM »

Hi all

Im looking for someone to repair a couple of cracks in my carbon/kevlar fairing. Extreme Performance in the Weighbridge area have been recommended but I cant find them on the net. Anyone know them and/or have a contact number for them?

Alternatively, anyone know someone down sauf that can do the job.

Cheers

I know they are a bit "up North" but you could try either ART or QBCarbon ( http://www.qbcarbon.com ) both up in Nottingham.

Really! Bloody hell Del! Is there no end to your talents?!?!?

Its not to bad at all - hardly noticeable actually. Happened when the bike fell off the paddock standand hit the garage wall. The point of contact was the out side edge of the screen so it essentially bent the fairing at the point just above the mirrors. Also a little crack around the indicator but again hardly noticeable. Probably easiest if I bring the bike over for you to take a look.

I also have a new PFM carrier and a new left foot peg hanger to go on, do you fancy doing those for me as well? Id rather give you the cash then the Honda Garage.

Anyway, let me know when your available and get the missus to put the kettle on

Cheers

Hi Del

Another job for you!

The filler cap hole in the top of my carbon tank needs cutting to make bigger. Is that something you could do for me?

Wayne,

can ya get here say early ish, about 9 or somit, can get stuck in then early.

I take it you have the disk rotor and the footpeg hanger, I have new bolts for the calipers in stock. I checked and they are the same as mine. For the rear dya want all the bearings greased up or just the hanger replacing. Could grease all the bearings and clean all the dust seals for all bearings and both wheels whilst it's in bits. It's up to you really, depends how long you have and how many cups of tea you can drink.

I'll go for the full monty please matey! Assuming Jen doesnt say "Hello Wayne, nice to see you again. You can only stay for 2 hours this time then you have to leave or die!!!!"

Will a cheque be ok or would you prefer cash. If cash, let me know how much and I'll make sure I come stashed, as it were!

Early wont be a problem.
