Electrickery
Something funny is happening lately and as I know Feck all about electrics I am looking for some help and direction.
Each time I am on a roundabout, taking the 3rd exit, when changing the indicators from right to left to signal I am leaving the roundabout my 10amp fuse blows. They are cheap to replace and it' easy to do but it does leave me without break light and horn as well.
As I like my bike to be 100% I wouldl ike to fix it rather then to keep replacing the fuses.
Can anyone telll me where to start looking or what could cause it.
(could it be damp in the indicators?)
Thanks

Bink, reckon you have a short in the sender unit on the bars. The crossover from L to R is creating a second (Unwanted) circuit. Without looking at the unit I don't know if it is user serviceable or if it is a sealed unit. Basicaly, I reckon that the "neutral" part of the switch could be worn, and it's that which is creating the short and blowing the fuse.
Or it could be something completely different!

But since it.s been said why don't you open up your turn signal unit on the handle bar and check for wet or corrosion. I can't imagine what gear you are in make the slightest difference so also check for wet or corrosion in the left hand indicators. be liberal with a tin of WD40 and see if that fixes it.
The other thing you could try after that is keeping the bike stationary and turn the indicators on and keep changing the direction of the handle bars whilst flipping the turn signal switch from left to right. Its possible the problem could be in the loom
