Thought so.

Why not make your own tv shows?

All you need is an old rear projection tv, you can hide in the base bit and poke your hands up through the holes were the lenses were, and make hand puppet characters. Two old socks, a couple of buttons (you only need the one nearest the audience, Lord Charles had no back to his head) and you're in business, show business that is.

It even works during a power cut!

Be the envy of your friends and neighbours, and buy my old rear projection tv for £50.

Superb sound, if you can speak while doubled up in the lower half.

Bargain of the month, and all for less than a film'n'porn package on Sky!

If you dress up as The Stig you can even present your own version of Top Gear, as he's the only one left in it.

Did I mention that I had a 42" rear projection tv in perfect working order for sale?

If you have cable in your area and can get connected to Virgin they offer a pretty good package. Mine is just over £40/month for 24/7 UK phone calls (inc virgin moby's), 55 TV channels mostly all crap though and 50Mb broadband speed. + free landline calls from your mobile via WiFi. Includes a 500Gb Tivo box to record all those films, BSB rounds, WSB rounds, MGP rounds, Last Tango in Paris, etc, etc. :shifty:
If you've over-cooked it, just lean it over more.

I would recommend radio rentals for your tv, just make sure to take a warm coat with you and you mat want to wear a polarising filter on your glasses to stop the reflections on the window And for phone you could alwways take a pigeon with you.

All the companies are as bad as one another when it comes to customer and quality of service so I would go with whatever is the best price and gives you what your after. It's very area dependant too, a postcode lottery. BT could be great in one area but not another. The same goes for talk talk, virgin, sky, the whole bloody lot of them.

Talk talk are absolutely shyte. In the end they kept failing to give us a working mac code so we could leave them it took 4 months to resolve. Back with BT and not issues.

Until you want to leave them and you need the MAC code from them to pass onto your new supplier.

There's a pattern with all these firms. When you want a new package or want to purchase. Customer service and help is super fast and extremely helpful. They have got you by the short and curlies now.

Once you have your account and you need tech help it's a slow laborious process via the likes of India or South Africa where all they do is read off pre filled customer service help forms. They basically fob you off as they are super busy and have too many folk to deal with so your basically in a queue as they give you a wild goose chase. Eventually you will passed on too, for example in the case of talk talk, a level 5 engineer which will be UK based and they know what they are talking about and will help. You will also possibly be given a 3 day access number direct to the engineer, but it's a mission to get there.

Eventually when one gets pissed off with the crap service and decides to go elsewhere, you try to leave, but oh no you can't leave straight away they don't want to loose you as their customer. They might offer you a new deal a special package for you, but you explain,no, I want to leave. So.... they make it as difficult as possible and not give you the MAC code without having their arms bent up behind them and shoved up they butt with threats to report them for breaching regulations etc etc. It will be guaranteed they will make it as difficult as possible. Then to top things off they may throw in some fines or not give you any money back for breaking your contract early or a leaving fee or something.

So off you go and then next month you look at you bank statement and see they have direct debited money from you account so you get back in touch and say hey that's my money, I closed my account last month. And the difficulties all start over again.
