There easy to fit. You need to loosen the fairing panel off a bit and remove a bolt that holds the engine onto the frame. then they attach using a sturdy bracket. 30 job-thats 10 minutes doing it and 20 minutes worrying about if you have tightened it all up enough.

Whilst this subject is in the air, anyone got a pair of the RG Bungs? The ones with the metal rod that goes through the top of the engine (not literally).

I need the dimensions of the rod... length, width, thread length etc... (i have a family contact who can make me one in stainless....so i can then put my own bobbins on the ends...

Cheers....

Thanks for that....details passed on... Suddenly occurred to me though.... i know that the bar goes through, but where does it fix to? Is it the main fairing bracket either side? Any fixing over the engine? (guessing not) Cheers...

The bar goes through the engine mount, bar ends are then screwed on to the bar, the bungs then bolt on to the bar ends.

With the R&G setup you have to modify the fairing, cut a hole were the bar ends are, bolt bungs through the fairing onto the bar ends.

If you don't want to modify the fairing other company use brackets that mount on the engine mounts then the bung is fitted to the bracket above the fairing.

I prefer to have the bung mounted directly on the engine mount which is why I chose the R&G setup even thought you need to modify the fairing.

The R&G bar replaces the original engine mounting bar, it is not as well as.

Essex Bloke, I've got some R&G Bungs on. I couldn't say how easy to fit they are as I bottled it and got someone to do it for me.
They work pretty well, as it didn't suffer any damage when some knob at work tried to move my bike and dropped it on the floor! You'll need (if you haven't already) to ditch the OE Honda indicators which seem to come from a bus for some mini ones. Then they'll fit inside the area protected by the bungs. I used micro arrow ones, with a long stalk. They just poke through the hole in the fairing where the original ones did, and all you can see is the indicator, no stalk.
If the indicators stick out past the crash bungs, it's them that do the damage to the fairing inner panels as they're fixed straight onto them.
Drink to contentment not to capacity. I just haven't figured out which comes first.
