Post by theweeeman »

hi all, im currently working on my new site, it's not here to take anything away from this great forum, but to try to encourage all the minorities of our biking world to make themselves known. Its my first attempt at it so go easy on me. I would apreciate any input or comments from the administrators of this site, and i have put a link to this forum on there too. feel free to take a look http://www.blackbikers.co.uk/[/url]

You might want to change the colour of your HTML links or the background so they stand out a little better.

No You Fool :D :D
According to Oxford English dictionary

"Denoting origin by birth or decent rather then nationality"
"Relating to race or culture"

Unless this bit applies
[ from the Greek "ethnikos" :heathen]

Pete...........have'nt got a clue..........what did you mean?
A freind at work goes on country walks..........signed up for a ramblers trip but was refused on the grounds that she was not black.

Strange world we live in ain't it.

Who cares what colour you are, time the world lived in peace eh !
it may be clever, but its not big.

That's a crap name weeeman. If black people don't want to be the subject of racism, then why keep mentioning the "black" thing?

It seems to me that as a white male I am not allowed to be proud, ie "I'm white and proud!". Black people on the other hand are encouraged to say "I'm black and proud!". Do you see where this is going?

Drop the balck bit mate. I haven't got a problem with the colour of anyone's skin, until it affects the fact that I'm white.

The idea of the site is sound, and I'll give it some support.

Just my opinion.

now now, i aint one of those with a chip on me shoulder, i just wanna see more of all races on bikes, not just black guys, that is explained on the homepage. The name is just purely to get a reaction from all. It stands out, an if a blackguy thinks its inapropriate tuff! my mates like it an the other two white bikers that work on it luv it. bikings for all, but theres some that aint realised that, so thats why my sites there, i got five asian bikers, two female, one amputee, and five able bodied bikers who think its great

ps cheers trojan, will do mate

Trouble is weeeman is that a lot of people won't get to the homepage.

The idea of the site is to be applauded, really, and I totally agree that all people should be encouraged to ride.

Just not sure about the name, it gives the wrong impression before you even open the homepage, that's all.

I understand where your coming from, really i do! but there are so many black sites out there (an believe me i know) that are so pro black its unreal, that i dont think my sites doin any harm. Hey you could offer these on a poll on your site to see if they are happy with the name or to see if you should change it

Nah! Your looking for a specific demigraph and I think you,ve got the ballance about right and like you said Once they,re on your home page people can see exactly what your site's about.
Good luck Weeman. Keep up the good work. The more people either on two wheels or with just heightened awareness about two wheels the better.
I salute you 8)
