Seat cowl

Post by Dickiebig »

Hi All, picked the bike up today, several little jobs to do but I knew that when I bought it, but how on earth do I remove the seat cowl, oldtimers, or what, could somebody let me know. D

Tank seat off - unclip the cowl tabs and gently pull and slide off.

Or do you mean the rear plastic bodywork inc the rear light?

Any pics of your new crimbo Storm beastie? (preferably with some bins discretely out of focus in the background ;-) )

If your seat has the grab handle it can be caught under the edge of the cowl. if its been on for a long time you might need to poke something under the front edge of the cowl to free it.

It's the rear plastic cowl that fits over the pillion seat. Must be ' oldtimers ' how hard can it be. D

Yup my typo "Take seat off" to take the cowl off - though at somepoint you''ll need to take the tank off which can be fun & games!

Wicky, I meant ME, I'm the Plonker for not realising what I needed to do, and yes I do need to take the tank off so that will be fun :) Richard.
