Selling up ?

Post by yellafella »

Hi guys.
Never thought i'd do this but i am considering selling my bike ! http://www.abercon.co.uk/vtr1000/gallery/1032.jpg
Baby on the way and a possible new business venture means i am never going to get to take her out
Give me a rough idea of value would you ?
98 S-Reg.15000 miles. Hugger, Bellypan, Solo seat conversion. Head light conversion,Modified exhausts, Bar ends, Fabbri screen, Painted wheels, Braided hoses all round, Alarmed and Datatagged.
All parts available to put back to stock. Would this be a better idea ?
What do you all reckon ?

Still have'nt made up my mind, every time i see her i want to take her for a spin ! :D
The other half actually insists i keep her ! Says i will be glad i did when the baby arrives ! She could be right ! :?
In fact i might just go for a blast out now ! Since it's not too bad out ! 8)

My big Bro went through the same thing with the arrival of his first.
Managed to talk him out of that nonsence and then this year seven years on he's thinking it again (cause of impending divorse  ...Bitch, but thats another story and not for on here)
I'll say the same to you as I did to him the first time though.
What's it going to cost (in real terms i.e Tax insurance ) to keep it in the garage. It's not going to wear out if you aren't using it much, hell you won't even have to wash it often and it will always be there for the odd spin. :P
Now what's it going to cost if you get rid and in a couple of years decide you want another bike and don't have the old one to use as a down payment.
Have a think, don't be hasty, then please yourself

Pete's right. Unless you need the room/money then hang on.
Sold mine for similar reason in 1972 - didn't get another till 2002!!
She's my idea of beauty and thats what I ride.
