Christ thats grim reading, could only imagine it was done out of stupidity/fear

also part of me wonders if he would have got away lighter had it not been the old bill he'd hit

What an ar5ehole.I too was left lying in the road after an Asain gentleman t boned me last year and was never caught.At least this mans conscience seems to have got the better of him.Mine didn't.

utter scum, he won't show any remorse, and I doubt he'll serve anywhere near the 7+ yrs sentence.
he should have his leg cut off below the knee and see how he likes it.

It's not him you want to be having a go at....it''s the justice system. If that was not so screwed up then people wouldn't do such things. As it stands one can easily get away with things so easily with light sentencing. I was watching a program last night about housing benefit fraud. This one guy had different identities and 3 council houses which he got housing benefit for and rented out the properties privately for profit. He lived in a luxurious house in south London and went travelling around the world etc. Nice lifestyle collecting all those high private rentals. He got caught and they worked out that he had stolen £300,000 of benefits. The court ordered him to pay an £80,000 fine and was released on a conditional discharge. Basically be a good boy for a couple of years WTF. Crime does pay, so he earn't £220,000 out of that plus whatever he charged for rentals. Nice little earner.

The guy in this incident got quite a heavy sentence getting sent down for 7 years considering no one was killed. My guess is he has previous. You can bet your life he will be out in 3.5 years or maybe less if he appeals the sentence. As Mac says lets hope he gets raped.
