Lower fairing - not sure.

Post by BigD »

Picked up a lower fairing off ebay, not sure what make it is, but here are some pics from the gallery showing the one i've got.

Ok, so these are the issues;

1. Not sure I like it!! My bike has lo level pipes at present, I think I prefer the fairing with hi level pipes (pic 2).

2. Didn't get any nuts/bolts/fixings.

Anyone know the make and how I can get fixings? If its a lot hassle, may sell it on if anyone is interested

Not sure what fairing that is, (not like mine)

Brackets/fixings. prolly easier to make your own brackets, the only actual metal work supporting mine, is at the back, under rear of engine, one long thin strap that supports the back of the fairing. otherwise it's all just bolted against the existing upper fairing stays. just need slightly longer bolts.

Ps, mines also got high level cans.. looks much nicer with the lowers.....

Fairing lowers

Post by victor »

They look like the ones I have in my loft.A mate gave them to me and when I tried them I found them to be rubbing the engine casings on both sides.They where also a nightmare to fit,I had to trim them in a few places.But the worst was rounding the first decent large round about and the r/h side decked out leavind a nice score mark.If you look at others they have a cut out for the front down pipe to stick out of where as the ones I have cover it.

That explains the score marks on the underside then!!!! Think I'll put it back on ebay.
