New Firestorm!

Post by markg »

It's about time we had a new improved model,as said in the MCN supplement last week, its a great bike but now a relic from the nineties. :(
Don't get me wrong,I love my 'Storm to bits,i've owned it for 2 years now, done 12,000 miles on it and have no intention of getting rid of it just yet as its by far the best bike i've ever bought.Usually after about 18 months a bike just gets a bit predictable but the 'Storm is still fun every time.
But ever since 1997, the later model bikes have not changed greatly from the origional, new colour schemes, slightly bigger tank, Hiss, new clocks. It ain't a lot really is it?Mind you, it must be a winner to have been made the same for this long
Just wondered what everyone else would like to see on a all new Firestorm if Honda ever bring out a new model?

me personally,i'd keep the basics of the bike there as basically its great, but would love to have fuel injection, USD forks, a fuel tank which would hold another couple of litres.Maybe the option of a naked(streetfighter)style or fully faired Firestorm would be good too.

Who knows, maybe Mr Honda visits this forum daily and he might take up on our ideas

Yep definitely getting ready for a replacement. I'm now on my 3rd Firestorm (1998, 2000 and 2003 models).

I'd like to see improved suspension, better fuel economy and updated styling. More power would also be nice :)

Cheers,

Ian.
