DIY Single Pipe conversion

Post by SideSwipe »

Hi,
I've just been thinking would it possible to grind off one of the outlets of the headers and patch it up by welding and then just fit one hi-level can.

Its should be relatively easy to do but will it effect the performance of the bike?

single pipe

Post by waggy »

hi, mines got a high level single pipe, it seems to have slightly more mid range but lost a couple of bhp from the top end, my dyno graph confirms this, but on the road ive not noticed any lack of top end mph, and it wheelies great of the throttle still, if you send me your email address i will send you some pics.

Cool, I dont mind loosing topend as long as their is a midrange increase.

Hopefully this will be cheaper than doing the norm but may be difficult finding ONE highlevel link pipe.
