929 full front with wave discs. (not sure what Blade front end you have) but stops on a dime. Good feedback to rider and not a lot of lever travel required to get to full stopping power.
If it aint broke, get your bloody hands off it!

Boring old F4i MC and calipers on stock disks. Braided lines. Good enough for me and much better than stock.

Set of old style gold Brembos currently with a SP M/C but soon to be changed to an trick adjustable radial...IIRC Callipers were £100 & paid £100 for the M/C but that came with a set of 929 callipers which got sold...

Also have another radial M/C which came off a BMW which I'll be putting on Dresden which has F4i callipers on it...
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

i should have said iv still got modded storm forks on the bike which for the time being il prob keep as its how it started life..

big set of six pots would be nice but price and the fact that at track days on the yellow bike with standard rotors and blade calipers and mc the rear wheel ends up in the air at times :D .....

a set of bigger 320/310 discs with blade calipers maybe?....

Slightly off topic but what pads work well on the storm? I think I need to change mine as im sure they are the originals and lack some bite now.

I have 954 calipers and master on my VTR, with EBC HH pads, and can't imagine a better brake set-up.

My VFR800 (which uses the same diameter discs) has CBR600F4i calipers and CBR600RR integrated master, and the same pads. It's good but not as good as the 954 setup which has smaller caliper pistons.

OEM pads were good on the rear but only lasted 8k (I have many uses for the rear brake). Sintered Brembos (red) fitted now and they are fine. Carbon/ceramic Brembos in the front (blue) and they are fine as well.

I've had unpleasant experiences with cheap pads in the past. Brembos or OEM seem to be more reliable than some.

Ferodo ST for a long time. Next choice would be Nissin ST.

so, stupid question number 2. discs. has anybody an idea what blade etc discs use the same bolt pattern as the storm? im not fussed if they are bigger in dia as making brackets for them is fine. 320s would be ideal...all these 954.and 912s has my head boiled lol.. just what years would make hunting a lot easier

For bigger discs, you need adaptor plates to original caliper mounts, or whole front end with wheel, discs, calipers, and forks. Unless it is made specially for VTR like PFM. There are some possibilities to mix the parts, but generally this is the way.
